Years ago I already painted a portrait of Frankenstein. The programs

weren´t quite good as today (of course) and the resolution wasn´t so good.

I always wanted to draw another picture - out of my sight. I saw many

pictures of other artists and they always reminded me that I wanted to do a

new pic of Frankenstein. The intention was to create a new portrait in

which I have the ability to show the details that I wanted. The first idea

that I had was that I wanted to show how he was created - but I decided to

show his death.For me Frankenstein isn´t plain an clean concerning the

skin. I have the idea that the different parts of the body have some kind

of rejection, they don´t fit toghether and the flesh gets several colours

and die off,and his eyes look lifeless. For me his character is quite

dead-hearted and he feels nothing while waiting for his death.
